Cosa Local

Terms of Service

Last updated October 23, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Cosa Local (“we,” “us”), which runs cosalocal.com. By using Cosa Local or creating an account, you agree to them, along with our Privacy Policy and Community Guidelines. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

1. What Cosa Local is

Cosa Local is a directory that helps people discover local creators — makers, artisans, vendors, influencers and others — and their events. We don't sell creators' products or services, process payments between visitors and creators, or organize their events. Any purchase, booking or meetup is between you and the creator.

2. Who can join

  • You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
  • If you're 13–17, you need your parent or guardian's permission, and they must complete any purchase. Parents and guardians are responsible for their teen's use of Cosa Local.
  • You must give accurate information and keep your login secure. You're responsible for activity on your account.
  • One person or business per account; don't create accounts for others without permission.

3. Your profile and content

If we prepared a draft page for your business, it stays private until you claim and publish it; publishing means you've reviewed it and agree to these terms.

You own the content you post — your text, photos, links and events. You give Cosa Local a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to host, display, resize and share that content in order to run and promote Cosa Local (for example, showing your profile in search results or featuring it on our homepage or social media). This license ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies already shared.

You promise you have the right to post your content, that it's accurate, that the social accounts and shops you link are yours, and that it follows our Community Guidelines.

4. Rules

  • Don't impersonate anyone, or list a business, brand or account that isn't yours.
  • Don't post anything illegal, hateful, sexual, violent, misleading or that infringes someone else's rights.
  • Don't offer weapons, drugs, counterfeit goods or anything illegal to sell where you are.
  • Don't spam, scrape the site, inflate stats, or try to break or get around our security or plan limits.

5. Reports, moderation and removal

Anyone can report a profile. We may review, hide, or remove content or accounts that we believe break these terms or our guidelines, or that put people at risk, with or without notice. If your profile is hidden, your dashboard will tell you, and you can contact us at cosalocalinfo@gmail.com. You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard.

6. Plans and payments

  • Cosa Local has a free plan and paid monthly plans (Featured and Insights). Plan features are described on our Pricing page. Paid plans may be paused or not yet available in some areas (for example, during a city launch).
  • Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until you cancel.
  • You can change or cancel your plan any time from your dashboard (“Manage billing”). Cancelling stops future charges; you keep paid features until the end of the period you've paid for, and we don't give partial refunds except where required by law.
  • If a payment fails, we may limit paid features until it's resolved. If you move to a lower plan, extra features (like additional locations, gallery photos or events) are hidden but kept, and return if you upgrade again.
  • We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice; changes apply from your next billing period.
  • You're responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.

7. Founding Creator codes and trials

  • Founding Creator offers — a code, or an automatic launch trial for creators in a launch area (for example, Phoenix-area creators who join during our Phoenix launch) — give a free paid plan for a set time, such as Featured for 3 months. No payment details are needed and you won't be charged when the trial ends — your account simply moves to the free plan, keeping your profile and stats.
  • One Founding Creator offer per account. Codes may be limited by quantity, date or area (for example, creators within a certain distance of a city), have no cash value, and can't be transferred or sold.
  • The Founding Creator badge stays on your profile after your trial ends, as long as your account follows these terms.
  • We may end or change the Founding Creator program at any time; trials already started will run their full length.

8. Disclaimers

Cosa Local is provided “as is” and “as available.” We don't verify every creator, and we don't guarantee the quality, safety, legality or availability of any creator's products, services or events, or that the site will always be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free. Use good judgment, especially when meeting people in person or paying someone.

Stats shown to creators are estimates and may not count every visit.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Cosa Local won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for anything arising from dealings between visitors and creators. Our total liability for any claim relating to Cosa Local is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $100.

10. Your responsibility

If your content, products, services, events or breach of these terms leads to a claim against Cosa Local, you agree to cover the reasonable costs of that claim, to the extent allowed by law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona and applicable U.S. law. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona, unless the law where you live requires otherwise. Before filing a claim, please contact us at cosalocalinfo@gmail.com so we can try to resolve it informally.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as Cosa Local grows. If changes are significant, we'll update the date above and let creators know by email or on their dashboard. Continuing to use Cosa Local after changes means you accept them.
